The Last Family
by Jeff Wofford

Tuesday, September 7, Time uncertain. Trevor.

We are moving to our new house. I have a cool room. It is big for all my Legos. Mom helped me paint a big Lego man on the wall. It looks cool.

It has a big pool. We cleaned it and I’m going swimming. The Smiths’ pool has been too green a long time. We have cows and milk. We have a river and big fields where we will grow things.

Sometimes I listen to the ham. The stations are going away. It’s not very fun to listen to anymore. Garrett and me are supposed to listen every day. Someone might talk to us, but they don’t. Sometimes we talk to it to see if someone is there. Sometimes I take my Legos in there and listen while I build things.

Yesterday Dad let me drive. He worked the pedals and I worked the wheel. I am a pretty good driver. I think I am better than Garrett because he is always almost crashing into things.
