We finally figured out how to milk the cows this morning. We’ve been trying for the last few days but couldn’t get much out and it’s scary when the cows try to kick you and things. I don’t like to do it but Claire kept trying and trying and she figured it out. We all laughed when we saw how far she could spray it. She showed us how. Nobody can do it as good as her though. We filled up a couple of water bottles and drank some and it was the best milk anyone’d ever had. The cows still have calves though so we didn’t want to take too much.
Trevor and I spent the rest of the day looking for someone to talk to on the ham. He worked the knobs. I listened. Not even Dad really knows how to use it but we’re figuring it out. There are sounds out there and voices and people speaking in lots of different languages, but we couldn’t tell if anyone was live. We tried talking to someone who was talking but they didn’t hear us. It sounded like it might’ve been a recording.
I’m frustrated. There are a million channels and someone has to be out there, but how are we going to find them? I stopped listening a while ago but Trevor is still in there. He says we’ll find someone eventually.
I’m starting to get bored of my games. I can’t download any new ones. There’s nobody else online. There’s nothing on YouTube or anything. Nothing on the Internet works. Also, there’s a lot to do every day and I’m really tired at night. I fall asleep at like 9.
I’ve been wondering whether aliens could have taken everyone. I hope not. How could they have taken them so fast? Maybe they missed us because we were in the middle of nowhere when they came. If that’s so, there ought to be lots of other people who they missed because they were out in the middle of nowhere too.
If it was aliens, will they find out that we’re here and come back for us? I try not to think about that.
