Dear Diary,

I’m worried about Louis Armstrong. I can’t find him. No one remembers when they saw him. I remember brushing him yesterday at lunchtime. Trevor says he saw him slip outside even though it was raining but he doesn’t remember when. We looked all over and called for him but he didn’t come. Daddy says he probably went indoors because of the rain yesterday and is waiting for things to get dry. I looked all over the barn but he’s not there. He’s not in the attic. He’s not under the beds. I hope he’s okay.

God, please bring Louis Armstrong back to us safely.
