The Last Family
by Jeff Wofford

Saturday, August 13, 3:51 PM. Trevor.

Nothing’s on the radio. KLBJ was kind of fuzzy. Now it’s not there. I turn the dial left and right and it’s the same. Dad says the stations ran out of batteries.

We went to see the horses. Claire rode one. I wanted to but I was too scared. They are real big up close. When they stomp the ground you can feel it. Maybe I will ride next time.

Garrett and I played basketball today. Dad couldn’t play because he has a lot to do. He’s really good at it.

On Monday Dad will go all over Dallas to look for people. I get to go too. I think we will find someone. I hope they are nice.
