I tried playing video games this afternoon. They were really kind of boring. I’m not used to sitting there and staring at a screen anymore. It feels better to get out and do something, make something, fix something, even feed something.
We play hide and seek a lot these days. We go out and shoot the guns or fire arrows at targets. We ride the horses. We play basketball or baseball. At night we play music, or read to each other, or draw. We talk a lot. I mostly listen. Dad and I play chess, or we all play Settlers of Catan or something.
I never liked that stuff before, but now it feels a lot more fun than Super Smash Bros or Call of Duty, that seem just silly. It’s kind of weird.
